The Larry D. Large Foundation will once again be sponsoring the semi-annual food distribution. They will meet on Friday, April 24, at 9:00 AM at the Majestic Storage garages next to Changos on Sandy Beach.
They will also be meeting on Saturday, April 25 at 9:00 AM, at Reggies (8/12) on Sinola off of Blvd. Fremont to distribute the food boxes. If you have any questions, please call the Foundation office at 388-5426. This is a very special, heart-warming event.
Also, there is a new charity opportunity in town. Monroe Riddle (Coldwell Banker) shared with us about "TWO FISH MINISTRIES" which has currently two locations (soon to be 3) around town where those in need can come Monday thru Saturday between 1:30 and 3 each afternoon for a hot meal. They are currently providing over 1000 meals per week and expect that to easilty triple due to need over the next few months. They could really use our help in obtaining food (beans, rice, tortillas, bread, pasta, etc.) and supplies (paper plates, cups, utensils, etc.). You can drop off any donations at the Black Dog with Maria or give Monroe a phone call for more information.
